I am so very sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing. I worked with Doreen In Calgary for several years. Doreen was not only a co-worker but a friend. Out of office we shared childhood stories, hobbies and dreams of what might be. I appreciated our chats and understanding each other. Doreen was genuinely a kind person, a hard worker and always lovely to spend time with. I sure missed her when she and Terry moved to PEI. Terry, my heart goes out to you and your families. Doreen was a great Islander and Canadian. I was proud to present her with the Senate 150 Medal which was in honour of the 150th year of Confederation, the birth of our magnificent nation. She cared about people and the importance of our heritage. Her passing is a loss for her family and friends and the future generations who will benefit from her work.

I’m thankful for these sweet memories with Doreen this past year. Mom and Dads 65th wedding anniversary last January that we could celebrate with us all together. What a treat in May to meet Doreen and Terry for dinner in Toronto while she was having treatment. Then the week in September when we visited her in PEI. I will treasure that always. I love you Doreen ♥️♥️♥️
