Obituary of Cora Mary Wilma Fletcher
Peacefully, and with family present, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, March 21, 2026, the death occurred of Cora Mary Wilma Fletcher (Keating) of Charlottetown, age 71 years.
Born on April 19, 1954, Cora was the daughter of Bessie (Billard) Keating and the late Harry Keating. She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Leverett Fletcher.
Cora is survived by her children Darcy Keating (Suzanne), Dean Keating (Abbey), and Denna Keating, as well as her stepson Randy Fletcher (Tina). She was the grandmother of Connor Keating (Sam), Ashlynn Keating, and Addison Keating, and is also acknowledged by Randy’s sons Billy and Tristan, Abbey’s sons Cooper and Cash, and Sam’s daughter Lilly.
She is survived by her mother Bessie Keating, and by her siblings Susanna Buote (Alan), Ina Jean Boudreau (Roger), Leona Clark (Glen), Loretta McLean, and Dougal Keating (Colinda). She was predeceased by her father Harry Keating, her brother Arnold Keating, and brothers‑in‑law Kevin “Smoker” Buote and Floyd McLean.
Cora valued her friendships, including those with Marion, Gail, Joannie, Lisa, and her cousins Tara and Mary Ellen. The family extends appreciation to Karuna for her support in Cora’s final months.
Cora had an interest in knitting, crocheting, and various crafts. She also cared for her dog Rudy, and in recent years found companionship in Charlotte, as well as Brian and Pedro.
She will be remembered for her quiet nature, her independence, and the perseverance she demonstrated through periods of illness and personal challenge, with her family and close friends remaining an important part of her life.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online to the PEI Humane Society.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Sherwood Cemetery, Charlottetown.
