I have been in the SCI seated exercise class with Lorne for the past several years. I had been in the QEH for 3 months, after having a stroke, before I joined the group. Lorne was one of the first people I met in the disability community. Lorne had a wonderful spirit and sense of humour and was very enjoyable to be with. He was courageous and adventurous and I was impressed by how well he lived with his disability. The way he ripped around town in his wheelchair, in all kinds of weather, was a good reflection of how he lived so fully in the world. I hope to carry Lorne 's spirit with me as I work on my own recovery and try to meet the challenges of my life as well as Lorne did.
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss of this wonderful man. Don Mazer

Megan and Emily,
We're very sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. We have such fond memories of when you girls were younger and all the time we spent together. Lorne was truly one of a kind, he had such a fun personality and such a strong, warm presence. He always brought laughter wherever he went. I’ll always remember the camping trips and the good times we shared back then. You could always tell how much he loved you and how proud he was. Thinking of you both and sending our love during this difficult time. His memory will always stay with us. Love: Angela, Art, Ben & Ava

Sympathy is extended to the family of Lorne.
I had the honor of meeting Lorne when I worked
in the office at SCI-PEI.
He always spoke fondly of his wife and family.
Lorne always had a smile on his face and loved
to be involved in many things despite his disabilites.
May you treasure the loving memories you had and
keep his memory alive in all you do.
