Obituary of Lawrence Leslie MacLean

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Gillis Lodge on Friday, February 13, 2026, the death occurred of Lawrence MacLean of Charlottetown and formerly of Belfast, age 75 years.  

Beloved husband of 54 years to Brenda (Docherty). Loving father of Larry (Tammy), Olivia MacLean, Travis, Naomi Outhouse (Travis) and Benjamin. Cherished grandfather of Shaylee, Ashton, Jaeden, Jennie, Krystal, Jessica, Jared, Landon, Brittany, Jack, Cole and Gage. “GG” of Maridyth, Miley, Harper, Jack, Rory and Lucy. Lawrence will be missed by his mother Bertha MacLean and by his siblings Evan MacLean, Gordon MacLean, Joyce Newcombe, Gary MacLean, Kevin MacLean, Kathy MacLean and Sheila MacLean. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Evan MacLean.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 from 2-5 pm.

A Funeral service held on Tuesday from the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm.  The service will be available to view online later in the afternoon.

Interment will take place later at Belfast Cemetery.
