Allan Morrison of Charlottetown, originally from St. Peter’s Bay, passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 68.

He is also survived by his siblings; Michelle (George) MacDonald, Hughie (Judy), Karl (Sandra), Terry, and Ian, as well as JoAnne’s siblings; George MacDonald (Karen), Helen Sutherland (Buddy), Lennie MacDonald (Carolyn) Michael MacDonald (Bernie),Brenda Murtagh (Pat), Desi MacDonald (Cathy); sister-in-law Wanda MacKinnon, and many, many extended family members and friends.
Predeceased by his partner JoAnne MacDonald; parents Angus and Henrietta (MacKinnon) Morrison and his brother Lloyd MacKinnon.
Allan lived a straightforward life and was easygoing by nature. He was a friend to many, and people were glad to see him coming their way. He believed in hard work, lending a hand when needed, and keeping things simple. He carried a quiet pride in where he came from and never really left his Bay roots behind. He always seemed to know what was going on in the neighbourhood and rarely missed the comings and goings around him.
Allan spent much of his life on the move around Prince Edward Island, likely travelling nearly every road, whether driving a boom truck for Do It Centre, Schurman’s, or Kent, riding his Harley, and, more recently, taking to the Island trails on his e-bike.
He loved sports, especially NASCAR, along with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. He loved a good campfire, appreciated a great song, and didn’t mind singing along, even if he wasn’t always in tune. He also enjoyed a tall tale or two and was especially good at the game of “Who’s your father,” a favourite with those who knew him.
He was a very good cook, a skill passed down from his mother, and one of the ways he showed care for others.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where a family and friends gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 2-4 pm. All are welcome.
A sincere thanks to Helen, Michelle, and Allan's nephew Mitchell and and his wife Jaleesa for their care, support, and presence during Allan’s recent illness and in the days surrounding his passing.
Memorial donations may be made online to the Candian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Allan will be remembered for his steadiness, his easy manner, and the simple, honest way he moved through the world.
