to Allan's family, my sincere condolences. I was so shocked to learn this weekend of Allan's passing . I live in the same park as he did and we had many a talk when we met while out walking. He did love walking and talking, and seemed to know everyone. He talked about his girls and Chelsea's wedding. Because of the weather my dog and I weren't out walking as much, so I hadn't seen him for awhile. I will surely miss him out walking and stopping to talk. May God Bless Lydia, Chelsea and families.

A great neighbour and a wonderful friend who always had a positive attitude. He will surely be missed by the many people in the community of Riverview estates. He knew so many and was so in tune with the goings on in the park and of course the Bay. The campfires on Saturday night are memories that my family and I will always cherish and remember. Now he will reunite with his beloved partner Joanne who was also in our thoughts. He missed her terribly and as we have, they were so compatible. God speed brother and may your families find comfort and peace in this difficult time. Our sincere condolences for all who were affected by this unexpected loss of a decent man. Respectfully. The Domarchuk family.

It has been a long time since I seen or spoke with Allen but my memories of him are that he was a very kind and friendly person. My deepest condolences to Lydia, Chelsea, and the rest of Allan’s family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
I got to know Allan and Joanne years ago when I worked at the Great Canadian Bagel. They came in several times a week for coffee and a good roundtable gossip feast with Melva and the rest of the gang. It was truly a sitcom waiting to happen. We all had a story to tell—whether it was true or not—and everyone got their say. Allan would usually shake his head and correct us, because he almost always knew the real facts (lol).
Over the years, Allan and Joanne became dear friends, and we were lucky enough to watch Lydia grow up. I feel so fortunate to have been part of those moments. They were both very special people.
After I left the bagel and started working at Shoppers Drug Mart, Allan would still stop in to check up on me, get the latest scoop, and keep me updated on his life—whether things were good or bad. I was able to see him the Sunday before he passed, and I’m grateful I got one last “scoop.”
You will be truly missed, Allan. Thank you for keeping us all straight over the years on the gossip wheel—we wouldn’t want to be spreading anything we shouldn’t have been.

I met Allan in my neighborhood one day when I was out walking. We had passed each other many days and said hello, then one we day stopped for a chat and many days after that. He was a faithful walker and on the days he wasn't walking, I'd see him drive by in his car or on his Harley and he'd give me a wave. He was always so cheerful and kind. I'm sad to hear that he has passed and will dedicate my future walks to his memory and he will be missed. Rest in peace my walking friend!
