Obituary of Seth Darius Currie

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, the death occurred of Seth Darius Currie of Charlottetown, age 35 years.  Beloved husband of Jalisa (Jones).   Loving father of Piper and Pete. Son of Randy and Esther Currie and son-in-law of Lance Jones (Michelle), Kim Blue (Vince Keenan) and Chris Blue (Heather). Grandson of David and Myrna Currie and Roeloffiena Dejong. Brother of Zach (Molly) and Sarah. Uncle of Bo, Jace and Lila. Brother-in-law of Tyson (Kristin) Blue, Dustin Jones (Holly) and Tori Jones. Fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.  Predeceased by his grandfather Gjildert Dejong. 

Seth loved good music, good football (Skol Vikings), and placing a good bet.  Seth was a great cook, and loved being in the kitchen with Piper and Pete. He loved to golf, especially with his Wednesday night group, and playing senior league hockey.  He took great pride in being teacher at East Wiltshire and having an impact on young minds.  He loved spending Sundays in Suffolk with his family, eating his mothers food. 

He was a dedicated father and one of his greatest accomplishments are his beloved Piper and Pete. He aspired to be the best father and husband he could be and he was. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where the Funeral Service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2:30 pm. Following the funeral service, a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at Fox Meadows Golf Course.

Interment will take place later at the St. Columba Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made online to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.

Seth’s family express sincere gratitude and thanks to the Palliative Home Care Team, especially to Meghan Hennessey, for the exemplary care shown to Seth and the staff of the Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
