Obituary of Mary Catherine Beaton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Catherine Beaton (Rogers) of Alexandra on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age of 82.

 

Beloved wife of the late James "Glen" Beaton (2020). Loving mother of Cindy, Wade, Brian, and Michele Beaton. Cherished grandmother of Ava Beaton.

 

Mary is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Adams (Jay) and Barb MacKay (Glen), and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Rogers, Pauline Rogers, Isabel Beaton, Sheldon Beaton (Linda), Dorothy Full (Gordon) and Diane Giddings. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl, John (Alison), and Ellsworth Rogers; sister Eileen; brothers-in-law Owen Beaton and Gordon Giddings.

 

Mom loved to show her kindness to the community, many friends and her family. The door was open, the bread baked and the kettle always on.

 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 5-7 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm from the funeral home. Interment will take place later at Cross Roads Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
