Obituary of Joe Peters

Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2025 the death occurred of Joseph “Joe” Peters of Charlottetown and formerly of Tignish Shore, age 74 years.  Joe will be missed by his siblings Bertha Pitre, Theresa Peters, Angela DesRoche, Barb Gaudette, Shirley DesRoche, Emile Pitre, Francis Pitre and will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jerry and Mary (Perry) Pitre and by siblings Emily, Oswald, Lloyd and Cecil. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home.  No visiting hours or funeral service by request. A graveside service will be held at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made online to St Dunstan’s Basilica.
