Obituary of Willie Harding

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William “Willie” Stanley Harding, who passed peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by his family who meant the world to him.

Throughout his journey, Willie showed remarkable strength and determination. He fought hard every step of the way, always with a smile on his face, motivated by his deep love for his family and friends. He was a devoted father, and the bond he shared with his children was truly beautiful.

Loving father of Jodi Rethy-Harding (Michael) and Jennifer Rethy (Brad). Dear brother of Gary, Debby (Clayton), Brian (Joyce), Donnie, Beverly (Morgan), Lilly (Brian), Daphne (Wilf), Randy (Liz), Rupert (Lynn), Trevor (Karen) and Joey (Lila). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. He is now reunited with his parents, Earl Harding and Sarena Harding (née MacKenzie, later MacLeod), his brothers Kevin and Lonnie and his cherished friend, Sandra Rethy. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 2-5 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will take place later at Wood Islands Cemetery.
