My deepest condolences to Bettys family. We have moved to NS and just hearing about her passing, although I knew she hadn’t been doing well recently. I called her maybe six weeks ago and had a lovely chat. We became friends during our time with the TOPS program and kept in touch after. I was so sorry to heat about Betty's passing, Marie any time I say you I would ask about your sweet Mother, She will surely be missed, she was a awesome Lady, Loved working with her at Towers & Zellers, Really missed Don when he passed, but she carried on like Betty would do, nothing seemed to bother her, again she was the sweetest Lady.

My sincere condolences to Ingham, Billy, Marie, April and the rest of the Jenkins clan. Betty was a wonderful woman and always a pleasure to be around. She had an interesting take on life. Betty and Donnie were friends of my brother and his wife (Ray & Barb) so were at our place quite often, when they were dating. "Back in the day" (I don't think they had a name for it then) but Betty was the first liberated woman that we knew. Betty was so advanced in her thinking for the times and had a great outlook on life. A life well lived. R.I.P. Betty. Adele (Driscoll) Shea.

Many times over the years I would stop in on my way home knowing I would get a cup of tea ( or two ) usually a sandwich and always a sweet of some kind, usually cookies. Much as I enjoyed those things it was the conversation, the banter between Aunt Betty and Uncle Donnie and the love that filled the home that meant so much. When leaving, I always got a handshake from Uncle Donnie but a hug, a peck on the cheek and a " love you Dear " from Aunt Betty accompanied by that big beautiful smile.
