Syd's great passion in life was building things, and he was very good at it. He first taught himself, and then just went and did it. Houses, furniture, boats, fiddles, guitars, campers, tools, radios, electronic devices - the list is long and varied, but he was especially fond of anything made of wood. His desire to learn new things stayed strong, even later in life. Despite his many interests, he was a dedicated family man, and made sure his children had everything they needed to succeed in life.
Special thanks to the EMS, the staff of Emergency and Unit 1 at the QEH, close neighbours, friends and relatives for their love and support during this trying time.
