Obituary of Mary Christina MacKay

Peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 the death occurred of Mary Christina MacKay (Wood) of Charlottetown, age 93 years.  

Loving stepmother of Carol Linton (Graham), Pearl Sawyer (John), Clarence, deceased (Alice), Lester, Kent (Mary) and by her daughter-in-law Peggy MacKay. Mary will be missed by numerous grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Sadie (McInnis) Wood, husband Lenthal MacKay, infant brother Joseph Emmett and stepchildren Gordon MacKay and Adele MacSwain.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 from 1:30-2:15pm followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30pm.

Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Vernon River.
