To Gary and family..So very sorry to read of Gloria’s passing..I met Gloria at Brackley beach through friends and family down there..She was such a nice kind lady and make you feel welcome to join their beach group..We loved to jump into the waves and have a wonderful time..We would have a little break each time I went she would get out her thermos of tea and put it into her fancy tea cup along with a little treat.. We all took a little treat and relax..Then back in for another swim..Sending my Condolences to you Gary and the family, prayers and thoughts are with all who knew Gloria.

Kelly Galloway here again from the SMUG ukulele group. I received many wonderful remembrances and thoughts of Gloria from our members. I thought I would pass them on here for her family and friends to read.
Gloria was one of the sweetest people I knew and was always ready with a hug.
Elizabeth Jeffrey
Such sad news...such a beautiful lady and great friend of SMUG. May she rest in peace.
Leah Ziegler
Thank you Kelly, for the tribute to Gloria. She indeed was a lovely lady and very loyal and will be missed by all.
David Campbell (Founding SMUG Director)
I'm so sad to hear this news, but I know she would want all of us to keep on singing and strumming. She always brought a special cheeriness to wherever she was, and our memories of her kindness and smile will continue to do so!
Nicole Phillips
Gloria was a lovely lady and always smiling.
Theresa Mallard
Gloria was a dear lady. She made me feel so welcome when I joined the group. Always smiling.
Rosemary Arsenault
Oh what sad news! I was very often sitting at her side at SMUG. She was always greeting me with big smiles and helped me out when I didn’t know things. In short, she was the sweetest, always positive lady. She certainly will be missed. May Gloria rest in Peace!
Almut LeCours
The world was a better place with Gloria in it. She will be missed by so many. I will ALWAYS remember her beautiful smile. Rest in peace, sweet lady.
Dena Doyle
Such a sad loss to all who knew her, and were touched by her friendly and happy nature. SMUG will not be the same without her. She made an impression on me in the short few months I knew her!! Rest well dear wee Gloria.
Claire Martin
Oh no, so sad to hear this. Gloria was a sweetheart and greeted everyone with her warm smile. I'll always remember her foot tapping to beat the band, Gloria had the rhythm in her soul and played like no one was watching. Rest in peace dear lady, but keep your toes tapping.
Jill Murphy
No one enjoyed a good laugh more than Gloria. And she enjoyed making others laugh just as much. She loved to tease or be teased. She would be my pick as the person that got the most out of SMUG and gave as much back to it. Thank you Audrey for being such a good friend, especially in Gloria’s last days. We will miss her very much.
Bobby and Darlene Acorn
She loved the music so much and always sang with a smile on her face. Rest in peace my friend.
Ann Campbell
I’m so sorry to hear this sad news! I first met Gloria at the pool where she was a regular in the aqua fit class at the same time I was swimming. We got chatting there and I was happy to see her familiar smiling face when I joined SMUG a year ago. My deepest condolences to her family & friends, she will be sorely missed.
Emma Fugate

The members of the Saturday Morning Ukulele Group (SMUG), would like to express our sincere condolences to Gary, her children, extended family and to Audrey Morris, her life long best friend and fellow SMUGGER.
Gloria was a regular, dedicated member of SMUG. According to David Campbell, our founding Director and his meticulous records, she had been a member since March 2013. I'm guessing that her bestie Audrey, had something to do with that since she had joined SMUG just 6 months prior!
Gloria was always positive, a ray of sunshine, and loved ALL the music, no matter what it was, old, new or a bit challenging. She was also the instigator for some Christmas and St. Patrick's performances at her and Gary's apartment complex by a smaller ad hoc uke group we dubbed the "Festive Frets". She was an enthusiastic participant in our first ever "flash mob" at the airport last Christmas (see photo, she is in the front row, second from left).
Gloria embodied everything that a ukulele group like ours is meant to be. Friendship and camaraderie, having fun making music together, encouraging others, sharing our talents with the community, and taking pride in accomplishments like learning a new song or chord.
Play on, play on Gloria. We will miss you.
Kelly Galloway

My sincere condolences to Gloria's family. I shared a room with Gloria at the QEH this past September. We had some lovely chats and some ice-cream for the couple of days that I was there. She had such a beautiful kind spirit. She was so proud of her family. She talked about Gary who she said was the love of her life. She left a foot print on my heart.
