Obituary of Joyce Syble Arsenault

Peacefully and with family by her side Joyce S. Arsenault (Barnett) of Charlottetown passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the age of 80 years. Dear mother of Darryl Arsenault, Rebecca Giedraitis, Connie Hayter (Blair), Louis Arsenault (Rosalind) and Lorna Dockendorff (Gerard). Grandmother of Timothy and Roy Good; Bailey Dockendorff; Austyn, Tammy, Tyler and Ty Arsenault; and Mia and Athena Marchese. Great-grandmother of Hailey and Bryce Skerry; Dakota and Tesa Good and Autumn Langille. Sister of Dolores Richard (Barry), Wanda Fennessy, Arthur Barnett and Claudia Rayner (Leonard). Fondly remembered by her good friend Robert Roberts. Joyce will also be missed by her fur baby Lucy. Predeceased by her parents Lucy and Claude Barnett; by her husband Percy and by her siblings Ferdie Barnett (Beulah) and Elizabeth Barnett. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be on Monday, October 27, 2025 from  1:30-2:45 pm followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3 pm. Memorial donations may be made online to the Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Joyce’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Mitchell Stewart and all the staff of Unit 2 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their care and attention shown to Joyce.
