Patricia Margaret Cronin Murray
December 18, 1938 – October 20, 2025

It is with love and gratitude that the family of Patricia (Pat) Margaret Cronin Murray announces her passing on October 20, 2025, at the age of 86.

Pat was the beloved wife of the late George Major Murray, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Amy Cronin, and by her sisters Joan and Phyllis.

A proud graduate Charlottetown Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1961, Pat devoted her career to caring for others, working for many years at the Charlottetown Hospital and then at QEH Unit 2 until her retirement in 1998. Her compassion, professionalism, and dedication left a lasting impression on her colleagues and patients alike.

Pat will be deeply missed by her children: Michael Major (Pam Raper) and Lynn Ann (Shawn Murray); and by her treasured grandchildren Emma (Lukas Aten), Sarah (Jacob Schnarr), Jenna, and Erin—each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Known for her warm heart, Pat loved to bake, knit, and search for the best bargain, always gravitating toward anything pink. Her famous peanut butter balls, homemade rolls, and cinnamon buns were family favorites.

Pat found great happiness spending time with her grandchildren and sharing treats from her kitchen. She valued the many close friendships she made throughout her life and maintained a special kinship with her fellow nurses, a bond that lasted a lifetime.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 3-5 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
