Obituary of Marjorie Louise Newman

Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 the death occurred of Marjorie Louise Newman (MacNeil) of New Haven, age 87 years.  

Beloved wife of Ralph.  Loving mother of Doug (Darlene), Dawne MacLaren and mother-in-law of Charles MacLaren. Cherished grandmother of Cory (Krista) and Dexter and great-grandmother of Austin and Grace.  Aunt to Judy Mitchell (Joe) and Mark, Suzanne, Darla, Michael, Jeanne, Jill, Jason, Wayne and Richard. Sister-in-law to Lloyd Newman (Linda), Serita Newman and Robert Roberts.  Predeceased by her infant son David, siblings Edna MacKinnon (Bert), Lillian MacDonald (Sheldon), Eileen Smith (Delwin) and Bud MacNeil (Marge) and by her in-laws Wilfred Newman (Vicki), Eleanor Roberts and Irwin Newman.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Friday October 3, 2025 from 6-8 pm.  The funeral will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday October 4, 2025 at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Kingston Cemetery.
