Obituary of Norma Jean Corbett

It is with the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday evening, September 28, 2025 of Norma Jean Corbett nee Trimble of Stratford, in her 88th year, with her husband of nearly 58 years James Corbett and very special friend Erin Coady by her side.

Norma leaves behind her brother Ross (Grace, deceased), her sister Edith (son Robert and his wife Anneke and children Isabel and Connor) and sister Clara (Jamie) and a number of nieces and nephews; Cynthia, Theresa and David; Wayne and Brenda; Monica; Timothy, Sharon and Ben; and Ester, Charlotte, Jason and Barbara-Alice.

Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Leona Trimble, her brother Howard and sisters Marjorie Trimble, Doris Horvat, Alice Randall (Ray), and Bernice Trimble.

Norma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She married the love of her life on November 11, 1967 and along with her husband Jim “Jimmy” served her God Jehovah faithfully until her death on September 28, 2025.  Until her eyesight began to fail completely, Norma was a voracious reader, having read the Bible through six times, and liked to prepare for the Sunday meeting by preparing the Watchtower Lesson for that week in great detail.  She was a fine example in dedicated faithful service.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3 MacKinnon Drive, Stratford (and on Zoom) on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 3 pm.  Donations in Norma’s memory can be made to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Canada or to the PEI Humane Society.
