I am heartbroken to read this and filled with regret as Gerrie and I lost touch in last few years. She was a dear friend who I met through work while helping her to return to work following her severe health issue. She was a fighter and loyal friend. Always wearing a touch of purple, we developed a bond along with our friend Marie. We spand three different decades but encouraged one another in our personal lives as well. The last time I saw Gerry was at the Cotton centre and of course it was music. I first meet her at the QEH many years ago. We both worked there. Soft spoken, kind are two words I think of when I think of this wonderful lady. I will miss our talks. Rest my friend. Your kindness brought comfort to a great number of grieving families.
