Keith & Bubba and the McGuirk/McManus families.... Sorry to hear of Shirley passing. I missed her as of late at Holy Redeemer at the 4 on Saturday. She always had that peaceful smile (I call it the McGuirk Grin) when we met. May she be at peace now. May God Bless you and comfort you as you go thru the next part of your journey with her guiding you now from above.

I knew Shirley from the time Bubba was about 15. We lived side by side in Warren Grove in a duplex. She worried about Bubbas music being too loud. I worried my young son would be too noisy. I bought a house here in Moase subdivision and Shirley moved across from me. We shared many walks around the block through sleet or snow with the girls in the hood. She was with me in the delivery room for my second child as my husband was away trucking. I was always welcome when her family came to visit her and knew so many of her siblings. Our friendship continued with gatherings of the girls from the hood at her apartment at Christmas. Although time passed and we grew apart I will always cherish her memory and friendship. My deepest sympathy to Greg, Keith and families. Susan Rooke

Memories~~~ I met Shirley in 2014 & we became friends right away & best friends as time went on. We went on our first cruise (first one for both of us) in 2015 to Bermuda & had a great time. We went on other trips as well & always enjoyed them all! We went to Ceilidh's, Concert's, dances ,movies, plays & musicals, the most recent Tell Tale Harbour which we both enjoyed. Going for drives, mostly on Sundays & of course eating out! "Fish n' Chips" was Shirley's fav. Could always guess what she would order! Once in awhile we would have "Girls Night" with a couple other friends & would play games & sip on "Bahama Mamma's" which Shirley always enjoyed. I'm going to miss our phone chats every morning & every night (& through the day sometimes).Fun times & great memories........ Rest easy my dearest friend.........'till we meet again......Judy (MacDonald)
