Catherine and Michael were two of the people who made us feel so very welcome when we first attended St Peter’s Cathedral, and they were such a vibrant presence in the parish. Catherine’s talents and drive made a huge contribution to both church and community, and her bravery, strength, and positivity were remarkable. She will be greatly missed and long remembered. Our condolences to the entire family.

Thinking of all of Catherine's family and friends at this time of loss. Catherine and Michael were a huge gift to my life beginning in 1978 when I moved to PEI. They were the rocks I needed and Catherine's optimism, kindness, frankness and intelligence made her the incredible human she was. I'll be forever grateful having had her in my life and so thankful for the continued visits and connections over the years. Rest In Peace beautiful Cath, I'll miss you.

Goodbye dear big sister. You were always there for me. You helped guide me through my teenage years, motherhood, and beyond. I shall feel your loss every day, but also the joy you spread to those around you. You once told me that when you found yourself alone in the garden at Pearsie and your legs wouldn’t work, you wouldn’t worry. You’d lie back and look at the clouds knowing someone would come looking for you. I’m going to look at the clouds more often and I know I shall find you. Aurevoir dear sister. Gracie Finley Stickings

We are so sad to lose Catherine. She was my bridesmaid in 1985 and picked up Lavatera flowers from her garden for a personalized bouquet. More than that Catherine was a dear friend in Belfast since 1974. I was so happy to see her 3 days before the end. She was sweet with a sense of humour to the end. May you rest in peace Catherine :) With love from Adopted Aunt (AA) Liz and Adopted Uncle (AU) Harry. The photo was taken in July 2024 with the Edward family. A terrific memory of Catherine with those she loved most.

Cathy exuded kindness and affection. She is pictured here cuddling my little dog Winnie, My brother Mike could not have met a more wonderful life companion. She had every good quality one could name; good natured, wise, strong , brave intelligent, and compassionate,
I mourn the loss of my beloved sister-in-law. Rest in Peace.

Catherine, Michael and I grew up together... at least from our twenties onward. Much familial love bloomed among us, each for the other. They were the most beautiful couple I ever met.
Their physical beauty was apparent to the grateful eyes of family, friends and everyone they met... and deeply rooted in their humanity, which was expansive, generous and kind.
Deeply loved, greatly admired and much missed.

We are heartbroken to lose Catherine and so shortly after dear Michael’s passing!
As Eric‘s mother and our daughter Lisa‘s mother-in-law, she was always there to support family. She was goodness to her very core. Catherine had a mind of her own and nothing would stop her positive outlook and desire for fun and laughter.
My favourite quote from Catherine, which I have repeated many times:
“Llife is for gathering in big bunches and having fun!”
We are grateful that we recently had the opportunity to see Catherine and hold her hand one last time.
We already miss you desperately.
Love and hugs to all the family. We will see you this weekend.
