Obituary of Doreen Phillips

Doreen Phillips (nee MacDonald) beloved wife of the late Harold Phillips was born in Halifax NS on March 25, 1941 to the late John James and Adele (Gallant) MacDonald, passed away on Friday June 13, 2025 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.  Doreen is survived by her daughter Janice MacDonald (Cam) and son Craig; grand-daughter Amber (Chris); brother Blair (Janet); sister Paula; special grandniece Orianna; sisters-in- law Corrie, Gail and Sandra and Harolds sisters Libby (Denny) and Linda (Bill). Besides her husband Harold (deceased Apr. 2021) she was also predeceased by her parents, and by her brothers Louis, Urban and James MacDonald and by her in-laws Leonard and Doris Phillips, Albert (Shirley), Anita (Elmer) Paquet, Edith Jordan and brother-in-law John Woodland. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visiting hours by request.  A public Funeral Mass will be held at St Pius X Church Charlottetown on Tuesday June 17 at 10 am. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made online to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre or the PEI Humane Society. Doreen’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Provincial Palliative Care Centre for their care shown to Doreen these last months.
