Obituary of Stuart Frederick Aitken

Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 the death occurred of Stuart Frederick Aitken of Charlottetown, age 85 years.  

Beloved husband of Ann (Gillespie) Aitken.  Loving father of Bruce (Yana).  Cherished grandfather of Madison, Montana and Marissa.  Stuart will be missed by his siblings Lee “Buddy” (Carol), Rod (Elizabeth), Douglas, David (Cathy Rose) and Edwin (Dona). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Bessie (Wood) Aitken; sister Hazel Lutz (Bob) and sister-in-law Anne Aitken.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am.  Visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Interment will take place at the Sherwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made online to Park Royal United Church Memorial Fund or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Endowment Fund.
