Obituary of Mark Andrew Duffy

Peacefully with family by his side at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax NS, Mark Andrew Duffy passed away at the age of 41 years. Son of Kevin and Jeanette (Milligan) Duffy of Fort Augustus and brother of Sean (Wayne Baici), Toronto and Melissa (Greg Trevors), South Carolina. Grandson of Anna Duffy. Uncle of Jack Trevors. Mark is lovingly remembered by his partner Mark Lowther and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Jonathan, grandparents Douglas and Veronica Milligan and grandfather Charles Duffy.

 

Mark was born in Ottawa and grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia where he graduated from Auburn Drive High school. Mark was employed by Paladin Security Services for a number of years at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Science Centre in Halifax and was also employed as a customer service representative in call centers.

 

During his childhood years Mark enjoyed camping, biking, trips to PEI, reading comic books and going to theme parks.

 

Mark had a number of health issues over the years but never complained. He was always hopeful and positive. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; walking his dog Dozer, working out at the gym, playing video games with his friends, watching movies and eating out at his favorite restaurants.

 

Mark was a kind, caring and fun loving person with a great sense of humor and imagination. He brought a smile to all the people in his life and will be dearly missed by friends and family.

 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where visiting hours will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 4-6:30pm.  Funeral Mass to be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:30am from St Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St Patrick's Church or the PEI Chapter of Canadian Hemophilia Society.
