Rest in peace sweet Uncle Sandy! My family visited you in PEI many years ago when my children were very young. You and Arlene welcomed us with open arms. Your stories of growing up in St. Lawrence with Dad (Roland) warmed my heart. We enjoyed many laughs! Love you always, Lisa (Pike), Bob, Jacob and Claire Kirby. St. John, NL.

We have great memories of Uncle Sandy and family visiting the Farm in Huntsville, and visiting his family in Trenton….then our last visit when we saw him at Tony’s wedding in Newfoundland in 1999? We all thought he looked like our brother Robert. Condolences to all our “cousins”. Gerald, (Karen LeBlanc and family,), The Farm, Huntsville, Ontario.

Les and I enjoyed our weekend with him and Arlene when we took Bessie over. He and Les played many games of crib and for some reason he lived teasing me. He enjoyed the food I prepared and he was always so pleasant. Fly high my friend, you are now at peace. Our condolences to the family

Where do I start. We were the lucky ones who grew up in Ontario and got to know all of our mainland cousins before we moved to Newfoundland to get to know our home grown cousins. We spent many weekends driving to Trenton to spend time with Uncle Sandy and family. He was one of the kindest funniest men I have ever met. There was always a special place in my heart for my dad's brother. When dad passed away Uncle Sandy called mom to catch up on how everyone was. She so enjoyed these phone calls and filled us all in on how he was doing. Then when mom passed I continued to call Uncle Sandy to keep him up to date on how all of us were. He always had a corny joke to share with me. I will miss these phone calls so much. You are no longer in pain and struggling to breath. So sorry for your loss to Tanya, Toby, Todd and Tracy and all their families. Love all you guys. So glad we got a chance to get together a few years ago.
