Obituary of Karen Dianne Weir

Peacefully and surrounded by love at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, March 3, 2025 the death occurred of Karen Dianne Weir (Alchorn) of Charlottetown, age 68 years.  

Beloved wife of Robert "Bob". Loving mother of Natasha Daley, Christopher Wood (Jennifer) and Cathy MacIntyre (Angela Parsons) and stepmother of Rachel MacIntyre, Colin MacIntyre and Ryan MacIntyre (Crystal). Cherished grandmother of Trinity Wood (Keegan) and Storm Scott and Aleigh Wood. Karen will be missed by her siblings Gail Johnston (James), Kevin Alchorn (Liz), Lynn McGuirk (Kevin) and Rollie Alchorn. Sister-in-law of Wendell Gregory. Predeceased by her parents Linus and Joyce (Gilbert) Alchorn, stepsons Wade and Elvis MacIntyre and her sister Susan Gregory.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 4-7 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10:30 am from St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall. 

Interment will take place later at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Cumberland.
