Obituary of Lou Douse

The family of Louis “Lou” Douse would like inform all of Lou’s friends that he passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, after a brief illness, at the age of 76.

 

Lou wanted everyone to know how much he appreciated the staff of Air Canada and ALL the personnel at the hospital. He and the rest of the family received extraordinary and exemplary care in the hospital.

 

Lou is survived by his wife of 56 years Diane; sons Vic (Colleen), Todd (Kaitlin) and Ryan; grandchildren Ashley, Jewel, Jeremy, Grace, Aivah and Liam; sisters Gloria Aide (David), Marilyn Raymer and Elizabeth Norrie (Gaye);  numerous nieces and nephews, especially Brian, Sacha, Dylan and Owen Aide. He was predeceased by his parents Vic and Dorothy Douse.

 

Dad was a great story teller, please join us to share your stories of Lou at the Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4-7pm and a Celebration of his life on Saturday at 10:30am.

 

Memorial donations may be made online to Autism PEI or Alzheimer's Society of PEI.
