My condolences to the entire Douse family. Lou was a very special person and he will be sorely missed by so many. He was a great friend and neighbour to Deb and I, and to our whole family. He was a kind, generous and gentle soul, and a day was always better with Lou as part of it. Seeing Lou drop by with eggs from the Amish, fresh bread, oysters, fiddle heads, or just with a smile, a beer and a story always brought a smile to my face. Even more so, if he came to play a raucous swear-filled game of Scribble! I will miss our fishing outings together, and was grateful that he showed me so many of his favourite spots. And while swapping fishing stories was something we did often, it was something I think he enjoyed more than I did, because he always managed to catch more and bigger fish than I did.... although perhaps some of that was also a testament to his storytelling. I will miss you, good friend. Rest in Peace.
