I bought 50 acres of land beside the Rolosons i had just turned 20.Ibuilt my own little house and became friends with Rploson family.I primed tobacoe one year and loved the farm idea.Doug cut his own path in life always at forefront of the many community projects ..ie...rink, schools.race track, farm bebt review board.and many more.I started farming small time and Doug was my mentor in many things in my life.He was a leader,strong willed and STUBORN he gave me a lot of good advice and a little bad to.He walked the walk and talked the talk a man i will always admire......all i can say is move over ST> PETER ..Doug is here to take over R.I.P. jim quinn

My condolences to Doug’s family at this sad time. I knew Doug for many years through the harness racing community and had such great respect for him. I recall a number of his horses but particularly Freddie Rick who was one of the best in his time. I had many great chats with him through the years and always liked to remind him that one of my favourite school teachers was his beloved daughter Christine who I knew as “Miss Roloson”.
